DUMP YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS

I read something the other day about the difference between resolutions and commitments, so I went to my trusty Dictionary.com and looked it up.  Here’s how they define those words:

 Resolution is “a decision or determination.”

Commitment is “the act of committing, pledging, or engaging oneself; a pledge or promise; obligation; engagement and involvement.”

See the difference?  The key words are “engagement and involvement.”  If you’re not committed to and involved in achieving your goals, you’re only “resolving” to reach them. Read more
